Hello, my name is Kimberly Preston (Paniccia). I am a daughter, a sister, a mom, a teacher, an author, and more recently a new wife and Mimi to 4 beautiful grandchildren. At the age of 50, during a global pandemic, I wrote: “It’s Real to Me”. This book chronicles my life’s journey through the lens of God’s Word. Using every Book of the Bible, I am able to personally relate to a parable, a person, or a plight in that section of scripture. It was during the most challenging moments of my life; miscarriage, divorce, visiting a third world country, and the death of my dad, that I came to see how real and personal this most ancient Book of books truly is. As I held my 13 week old fetus in the palm of my hand; HE changed me. As I walked through a divorce I did not desire; HE filled me with wisdom and peace. As I skeptically traveled to Uganda; HE used me to make a difference. And after my dad’s sudden death, as I hesitantly stepped in as my mom’s full-time caregiver; HE blessed me beyond measure. God never let go of me. It was there in my weakest moments, HE held me the closest. Sad, raw and vulnerable; HE equipped me to use the trials of my life for a greater good. When I started this Blog in 2012 I had no idea how God would turn all those hardships into beautiful blessings. Now in 2026 I am circling back to share new stories filled with God’s faithful plan not to harm me, but to give me a hope and a future. As you encounter His presence along my journey, I pray you encounter Him on your journey too, and see how disappointments can become God’s appointments.
