Writing a book has been my dream since 2001
But just as I would find the perfect topic, my life would shift and present me with a new one. I couldn’t decide between writing about Parenting, Teaching, Mission Trips, Miscarriage, Divorce, Losing a Parent, or Caring for an Aging One.
So here I am 20 years later in 2021 and God has shown me a way to write about all of it in one book.
It’s Real to Me is a collection of stories from my life that parallel with each book of the Bible. Whether it’s a passage, theme, or person from that particular book in the Bible, I see that God has used my trials to grow me, bless me, and launch me forward.
My goal is not just to be an encouragement through my personal stories, but also to inspire others to make God’s Word real in their own journey, and to find His mercies amidst the messes of life.
Hello, I’m Kimberly!
I am a daughter, mother, teacher, speaker, author and above all else a child of God.
I’ve raised two amazing sons, traveled to Africa for mission trips, and founded a growing ministry. I’ve also felt God’s hand on my life as I’ve walked through miscarriages, divorce, and the sudden death of my beloved dad; which led me to become a loyal caregiver to my disabled mom. Like anyone, my life isn’t perfect but I’ve learned to be content with that. For God has used these imperfections to grow me perfectly into the woman He’s designed me to be.
